Our Story

Phil Knight’s quote ‘play by the rules, but be ferocious’ encapsulates Michelle’s ethos in that it is important to be intentional and forward-moving. Michelle is completely results oriented and believes that sound accounting information, robust analysis and supportive advice build an excellent platform to help business owners achieve their goals.

Accounting has been ingrained in Michelleā€™s history from very early on. Not only was her Nana an accountant for a law firm in the days of written ledgers, Michelleā€™s Dad owned a commercial building firm and it was normal to reconcile the bank and talk business after school. They also were at the forefront of computer technology and assisted in the development of one of

the pre-eminent trade accounting programs in practice today. Michelle saw excellent business practices first hand from looking after staff and gaining reciprocated loyalty, to modelling excellent work ethic to the fundamentals of how to make a profit.Ā  Michelle embarked on a BMS with the aim of focusing on all parts of business and carried this through to her work history including owning her own businesses. It was at university that Management Accounting captured her heart and pushed forward into a rewarding career in helping businesses thrive.

She has a Bachelor of Management Studies, Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting and is a CA. As well as accounting, she has a keen interest in HR and understands the complex task for the business owner to keep all the plates spinning.
